WESTERN AUSTRALIA VS TASMANIA
STATE OF ORIGIN CLASH - INGLEWOOD STADIUM
Western Australia will take on Tasmania in an interstate State of Origin Showdown at Inglewood Stadium, in Perth, on September 19th, 2026. Football West and Football Tasmania have teamed up with Citrus Promotions and Rhys Williams' Soccer Sensations to put on a thrilling game that was last played between the States in 1964.
Former CEO of Perth Glory, Tony Pignata OAM, who is CEO of Football Tasmania stated “I know that we’ll give Western Australia a run for their money, and I can’t wait to see our State NPL XI take shape in preparation. As a former WA resident during my time at Perth Glory, there’s serious bragging rights on the line and I know my counterpart, Football West CEO Jamie Harnwell, is as excited as I am."
This exciting State Showdown game will kick off at 6pm on 19th September following a 3pm Junior Football Comp between 4 local teams including a Rhys Williams' Soccer Sensations XI.
